Wednesday High pressure keeps a firm hold over much of Europe midweek.
Dry and hot across Spain and Portugal. Isolated showers are expected
though across Italy and Sicily. Also the risk of one or two in western
parts of Greece. Otherwise dry, sunny and exceptionally hot. France
will continue to see highs into the 40s in many regions It will remain
dry and sunny. Less hot again through Germany and Poland though it
wil stay dry with sunny spells. Risk of thundery downpours through
eastern areas of Switzerland and western regions of Austria, otherwise
dry and very warm also. Dry and very warm still for the Balkan States
as well as Hungary, Czechia and Slovakia. Scattered showers for Denmark
but most here will stay dry with developing sunny spells. Dry and
fine across the Baltics. Western regions of Norway will see cloudier
skies and outbreaks of rain. Rain too for northern Sweden but elsewhere
here it will be dry with sunny spells and feeling very warm in the
south. Rain and drizzle for far
north of Finland but dry elsewhere here.
