This afternoon sees increasing cloud with heavy and thundery showers, these focused through central and northern England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The showers thundery at times. Fewer showers in southern England, although even here there could be a heavy one. Best sunshine in southwest England. Highs at 13 to 19C.
