Cold, sunshine & showers
Wintry northern hills

Tue Apr 16: Tuesday A chilly, fresh northwest flow across the country again through this morning. There will be a scattering of showers affecting north and western Wales, eastern coasts of England and the far northwest of Scotland. Most places starting the day dry though with good spells of sunshine. An area of more persistent showers may develop across eastern parts of the Midlands, East Anglia and then southeast England by late morning, drifting into southeast England this afternoon. Further showers this afternoon in northern Scotland and Northern Ireland, some wintry over the hills of northern Scotland. Dry elsewhere with good spells of sunshine, but feeling cold. Highs at 7 to 12C.
