Fri Jul 31: Saturday Higher pressure across southern areas of the country on Saturday where most will stay dry with broken cloud and sunshine, best in the southeast; also becoming sunnier around coasts in the west and southwest during the day. North and west Scotland will be affected by showers, these pushing inland for several afternoon hours. Some light showers or drizzle in northwest England and western coasts and hills of Wales in the morning, a few drifting inland, but fading with time. Westerly breezes in the north, lighter south, locally calm southwest. Highs 27C southeast England, 25C Midlands, 19 to 22C further north and west (including Ireland), nearer 17C Scotland.
